FAQ

GENERAL QUESTIONS

  • Payment: StageLynk utilizes Stripe to handle and process all payments.
  • Escrow: Payments for bookings will be held in escrow with Stripe until the completion of the rental, at which point funds will be released to the studio owner.
  • Commissions: StageLynk charges a commission that is paid after completion of the rental by the studio owner. More details are available upon signup.
  • Rents: StageLynk does not bifurcate rents into prep rates, strike rates, and shoot rates. The rents a studio owner lists on StageLynk are the same for prep days, strike days, and shoot days.
  • Cancellations: Productions must reach out to studio owners for permission to cancel or modify a booking. Studio owners should then reach out to Support@StageLynk.com for assistance in canceling and removing the booking.
  • Office & Support Space: StageLynk currently only handles the booking of sound stages.

STUDIO OWNERS

  • Up to Date Listings: It is the responsibility of the studio owner to keep their stage listings up to date. Upon approval of a booking, the studio owner agrees to not market that stage for lease within the dates of that booking.
  • Approval of Bookings: The studio owner has the ability to approve or reject a booking. Once a production requests a booking, the studio owner will receive an email indicating that it must approve or reject the booking.
  • Contracts: Studio owners must upload a rental contract outlining its terms, conditions, and rules of the studio. The contract must also explicitly state what is included with the rental, and what additional ancillary and equipment fees exist. Such fees may or may not include parking, utilities, HVAC, overtime staffing, trash, and lighting & grip equipment. These fees are not currently listed on StageLynk but should be outlined in the studio’s rental contract. It is the responsibility of the studio owner to collect these fees.
  • Insurance: It is the studio owner's responsibility to verify a production's insurance.

  • PRODUCTIONS

    • Insurance: It is the production's responsibility to verify it can satisfy the studio owner's insurance requirements as stipulated in its contract.
    • Ancillary and Equipment Fees: Productions assume responsibility to pay all fees for ancillary services a studio charges as stated in the studio’s rental contract. Such fees may or may not include parking, utilities, HVAC, overtime staffing, trash, and lighting & grip equipment. These fees are not currently listed on StageLynk but should be outlined in the studio’s rental contract.
